Why this project?

My motivation

Most of my life I have struggled with my sense of self-worth. I have always been a quiet person, rather introverted, and I hated it. I have come a long way since then, learning to accept and appreciate these characteristics I once desperately wished to get rid of. Accepting them helped me to overcome them in a way, making me more confident than I had ever been before. In sharing my experience I am hoping to speak to people who feel the same way as I did. Perspective is key: instead of changing the way you are, try changing the way you view yourself.

Alessa Fanzoi

I am an audiovisual storyteller based in Zurich, Switzerland. I am currently studying Design with a focus on Audiovisual Media at Zurich University of the Arts. However, as „Rat’s Nest“ is my Bachelor project, my time as a student will come to an end in June 2020.

My passion lies in motion design and illustration, which is the reason why I chose to realize my first animated short film as my Bachelor project.

Paul Taro Schmidt

A big thank you to Paul, the composer of the original score for the film!

Motivated and interested from the beginning, he was a very reliable and hard-working partner in this project.

I am grateful to have profited from his views and opinions.

Samuel Müller

With his knowledge and skill, Samuel brought Paul’s composition to the next level.

He was extremely patient and reliable, really investing his time and diligence in this project. I couldn’t have done it without him!

Thank you!
